Patrick Walujo, the CEO of GoTo Group, has committed to leading the Indonesian tech company through 2029.

Jakarta, Indonesia – GoTo Group has extended the contract of its CEO, Patrick Walujo, for another five years. This decision comes as the company continues to make progress toward profitability, having recently reported positive adjusted EBITDA.

Walujo, who took the helm in 2023, has overseen significant growth for the Indonesian tech giant. In the third quarter of 2024, GoTo’s core gross transaction value (GTV) surged 74% year-over-year to IDR 72 trillion (USD 4.4 billion). Gross revenue also increased by 34% to IDR 4.7 trillion (USD 290 million), while the number of monthly active users climbed 21%.

To further incentivize Walujo’s continued leadership, GoTo’s board has approved a performance-based retention package. This package is designed to reward Walujo for achieving key milestones in the company’s growth and profitability.

With this extension, Walujo is set to lead GoTo until 2029, ensuring stability and continuity as the company navigates the evolving digital landscape in Indonesia.
